The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship has a notable presence in Saudi Arabia, particularly with events like the Diriyah E-Prix. In conjunction with these races, gala dinners and charity auctions are often organised to support local causes.

During the Season 8 opener in Diriyah, a gala dinner was held at the Cultural Palace in Riyadh. This event featured performances by artists such as Wyclef Jean and was attended by notable figures, including Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud and former footballer Didier Drogba. The gala successfully raised $513,000 for the Society of Autism Families, a Saudi charity dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families.
